Creating restful retreats that nurture your soul
Our design philosophy combines classical elegance with sustainable principles—delivering interiors that are both beautiful and eco-conscious. No white walls here; we prioritize rich textures, thoughtful color palettes, and timeless design elements to create warm, welcoming spaces that feel luxurious yet grounded in nature.
With a unique focus on wellness-inspired design, Rachel Schemmerling and her team help empty nesters reimagine their spaces into sanctuaries that nurture both physical and emotional health. Growing up in a 275-year-old colonial home in Madison, Connecticut, and working at the historic Mount Washington Hotel, she has always been deeply inspired by the timeless connection between people and their homes. But her journey took on a new dimension when a chronic autoimmune diagnosis led her to realize that great design goes beyond beauty—it can heal, support, and elevate wellness.

Our design philosophy goes beyond traditional interior design by seamlessly integrating natural elements like light, greenery, and organic textures to create spaces that foster well-being and a deeper connection to nature. Unlike traditional interior design, which often prioritizes aesthetics and functionality alone, our design style focuses on enhancing both the physical and emotional health of those who inhabit the space.
This approach blends sustainability with beauty, using materials and layouts that are not only elegant but also promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve indoor air quality. By bringing the outdoors inside, our designs transform interiors into restorative environments that nurture the mind, body, and soul.
